GRAZZANISE AIRBASE, Italy – The 2nd NATO Signal Battalion hailed a new commander during an 8 January 2020 Change of Command ceremony at the battalion’s headquarters in Grazzanise Airbase, Italy. U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel James Dooley departs the 2NSB after serving as its commander for nearly three years.
Dooly has had a successful 25-year career serving the U.S. Army throughout the world and is slated to retire to Texas. Lieutenant Colonel Bob Topper arrives to the 2NSB after serving as the Regimental Signal Officer for the elite 75th Ranger Regiment in Fort Benning, Georgia.
