BYDGOSZCZ, Poland – from 21 -23 May 2024, Major General Jürgen Brötz, the new Commander of the NATO CIS Group (NCISG), made his first visit to the 3^rd NATO Signal Battalion (3NSB).  

Major General Jürgen Brötz met with the Battalion’s leadership, familiarized himself with its home garrison and was provided with an overview of their capabilities.

During his visit to 3NSB, Major General Brötz met the Commander 3NSB, Lieutenant Colonel Pavel Matuszek as well as the leadership from the Deployable Communication & Information Systems Modules A (DCM-A) and the Maintenance & Support Company (M&S Coy).

The unit leaders assembled as Commander Brötz discussed the latest CIS reports and upcoming missions.

The visit was also an opportunity for the NCISG Commander to address the troops of the 3^rd Battalion and outline his leadership philosophy. Furthermore, he discussed his plans for the future as well as current challenges.

Commander Brötz made a tour of the 3^rd NSB, DCM-A and M&S Coy, taking the opportunity to talk with the personnel; as well as visiting the co-located NCI Agency Forward Support Point.

Major General Brötz’s visit was a reminder of leadership, dedication and unity. He thanked the soldiers for their efforts and reaffirmed their valued contribution to the Group.

On 23 May 2024, Major General Brötz attended the 20^th anniversary celebration of the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) in Bydgoszcz, he congratulated JFTC and wished them continued success; and took the opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholders from within the Alliance.
