INTERVIEW WITH THE INCOMING NATO CIS GROUP DEPUTY COMMANDER

MONS, Belgium – Brigadier General Jarkko KARSIKAS gave an interview to the NCISG Public Affairs Office after taking over his command on 23rd August 2024.

During the interview Brigadier General Karsikas presented his primary goals.

Brigadier General Karsikas said:

I actually have two ambitions in my career: I want to understand how to deal with the increasing complexity in this technological world and deal with it in real life. And at the same time, make us better prepared and better equipped to face the future. I think that’s my goal in NCISG. Even though we have a very complex environment and we have a lot of technical challenges, we still need to move forward in everything we do. And we have to be good at it, so it’s embracing excellence in our work. The second ambition is innovation. I think innovation has to be a part of improving everything we do. Innovation in this highly diverse organization helps us develop. And definitely bringing innovation as a part of our work is the second goal!
