CHRISTMAS DOOR DECORATION COMPETITION AT NATO CIS GROUP AND CYBERSPACE DIRECTORATE

MONS, Belgium – The annual Christmas Door Decoration Competition kicked off on December 10, 2024 at NATO CIS Group Headquarters and Cyberspace Directorate.

The festive spirit was alive and well at the NATO CIS Group Headquarters as the annual Christmas Door Decoration Competition kicked off and allowed the staff to show their creativity in the build up to Christmas.

The NCISG Commander/ SHAPE DCOS Cyberspace, Major General Jürgen Brötz addressed the staff in the main NCISG corridor and stated:

This year’s door decoration competition is not just about winning — it’s about teamwork and spreading joy. The success of the Christmas corridor party and competition came from maintaining the good tradition for many year at NCISG.

The Divisions of NCISG, SHAPE J6 and CyOC were tasked with transforming their office doors into festive masterpieces. The corridors buzzed with activity as soldiers and civilian staff brainstormed ideas. Glitter, tinsel, and handmade ornaments began to pile up. Teams worked late into the night, turning the military command into a festive haven.

The judging panel walked the halls, taking in the sights. Doors sparkled with imagination, from handcrafted ornaments to animated displays. Points were awarded for originality, teamwork, and adherence to the theme.

The NCISG Registry effect earned admiration, but it was NCISG J2/6 TSM Team display that caught the eye of the crowd as they had decorated the whole section of their corridor with one theme.

In a grand ceremony, Major General Brötz announced the results:

This year’s winner is… NCISG J2/6 TSM Team! Your creativity and attention to detail were unmatched.

Cheers erupted, and the winning team proudly accepted their prize.
