Commander JFCBS General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta opened the Distinguished Visitors Day, underlining the importance of the STEADFAST COBALT 23 in preparation for next year’s NATO Response Force (NRF). 

Commander NCISG, Major General Frank Schlösser, stressed on the purpose of the exercise, which allowed the validation of the the Communications and Information Systems (CIS) connectivity and interoperability among participating NRF units through data exchanges and sustained communication among joint and component commands headquarters, as well as with combat units of the NRF worldwide. 

STEADFAST COBALT 2023 improved our readiness and ensured that all participating units are ready and prepared to deploy CIS in support of NRF, whose presence and activities assure Alliance members and deter potential adversaries’

said Commander NCISG Major General Frank Schlösser.

The presentations closed with NCISG overview given by Deputy Commander NCISG/ Chief of Staff Brigadier General Luigi Carpineto and the STCO23 Exercise Director Colonel Murat Ozkilic. Brigadier General Carpineto explained that NCISG is an element of NATO Command Structure, the biggest size, and plays a vital executive role in the Cyber domain. He said: 

The NCISG, as directed by SACEUR, conducts deployable CIS operational planning and delivers and supports NATO’s deployable CIS

After the official part of the ceremony, the invited distinguished guests had the opportunity to become acquainted with the CIS assets gathered at the exercise location.
