MONS, Belgium – The Commander of the NATO CIS Group (NCISG), Major General Frank Schlösser, hosted the 22nd NCISG Commander’s Conference at SHAPE from 6-8 June 2023.
The NCISG Commander’s Conference is a bi-annual event and is attended by the leadership of NCISG, senior staff from the NCISG Headquarters, the three NATO Signal Battalion (NSB) Commanders and the 18 Deployable CIS Module (DCM) Commanders, and their respective Senior Enlisted Leaders.
The Conference provided an excellent opportunity to discuss past activities such as Exercise STEADFAST COBALT 22, as well as future topics such as Exercise STEADFAST CLOUD 23 and FMN, and also aspects related to health and safety.
In parallel, the NCISG Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL), Andreas Merz, hosted the bi-annual CSEL Conference, which was attended by the Senior Enlisted Leaders from the Battalions and DCMs.

During the lunch, hosted by the NCISG DCOM/COS, Brigadier General Luigi Carpineto, participants took the opportunity to network and converse in a relaxed atmosphere.
