NCISG MEMBERS RECOGNISED WITH NATO AND ACO AWARDS

MONS, Belgium – on 28 March 2022, the SHAPE Chief of Staff (COS) Admiral Joachim Rühle presented NATO Meritorious Service Medals (MSM) and Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Recognition Awards (SRA) on behalf of the NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg and the SACEUR, General Tod D. Wolters.

In December 2021 the NATO Secretary General approved awards of the NATO MSM for three military personnel of the NCISG:

Colonel Egbert FIKOWSKI, DEU A
Lieutenant Colonel Torge BORNHOFFT, DEU A
Sergeant Major Christopher QUAYLE, USA A

The SHAPE COS presented NATO MSMs to Colonel Fikowski and Lieutenant Colonel Bornhofft for their outstanding performance and service to the Alliance. Sergeant Major Quayle was not able to attend the ceremony.

The ceremonies took place in the SHAPE Protocol Lounge.

The NATO MSM is the highest NATO recognition and represents exceptional and remarkable service to the Alliance, while the SRA was established to recognize exceptional service and outstanding individual achievement and is the senior ACO-awarded honor.
