On 15 February 2022, Brigadier General Luigi CARPINETO arrived in Bydgoszcz for familiarization visits to the 3^rd NATO Signal Battalion (3NSB) and the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC). At 3NSB he met with the Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Karel MAZANEK and the Deputy Commander, Major Jacek WARCABA and was given a tour of the Battalion's facilities.

Lieutenant Colonel MAZANEK led the guests through barracks and showed infrastructure. On the same date, Brigadier General CARPINETO had an informal meeting with the new Deputy NATO Chief Information Officer, Brigadier General Krzysztof KOCIUBA.

On 16 February 2022, Brigadier General CARPINETO met with Brigadier General Jozsef SZPISJAK, JFTC Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff. A walk around the JFTC gave the ideal opportunity for in-depth discussions about common focus areas and future engagements between the NCISG and the JFTC.
