Exercise STEADFAST COBALT 19 is the C4ISR interoperability exercise conducted by NCISG to validate and verify all CIS units participating in eNRF20.

 

This year's exercise was held at the 48th CIS Centre in Bucharest, Romania, which hosted around 1,200 military personnel from both NATO Command and Force structures.

 

This exercise is the largest and most complex CIS exercise of its kind and provides an avenue for the Alliance to enhance its C2 capabilities in support of NATO's Operations and Missions. The exercise brings together subject matter experts from participating nations which enables comprehensive knowledge exchange amongst NATO's CIS community.

 

The opening ceremony was conducted on the 19th of May by the Exercise Director, Col Vladimir HLAVACEK, and attended by Col George SPOIALA, the Romanian CIS Command Chief of Staff, and Col Constantin CIOBOTARIU, the Commander of the 48th CIS Centre.
