Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Monique M. Grace is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and began her military career in 1999 as an Information Systems Operator/Analyst (Military Occupational Specialty 25B). Her first assignment was with 58th Signal Battalion, in Okinawa, Japan, working as a network/systems administrator. From there she held various positions within the information technology realm working her way from the rank of Private (OR-2) to Command Sergeant Major (OR-9).
CSM Grace's previous assignments were in G3 Battle Command Systems Division, USAREUR, Heidelberg, Germany as a Battle Systems Trainer; At Fort Bliss, Texas she served in the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade as the S6 Noncommissioned Officer in Charge; 35th Signal Brigade as an Information Systems Staff NCO ; At 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, where she deployed to Afghanistan as the S6 NCOIC; 44th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 2nd Theater Signal Brigade as the First Sergeant of Alpha Company; and 551st Signal Battalion as the S3 NCOIC.
After completion of the NCO Leadership Center of Excellence she was assigned to the 1st Theater Sustainment Command, where she served as the G6 Sergeant Major and is presently serving as the Battalion Command Senior Enlisted Leader for 2nd NATO Signal Battalion.
CSM Grace has a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology and Cyber Security and a Master's of Art in Public Administration.
Her awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4th award), Army Commendation Medal (5th award), Army Achievement Medal (5th award), Army Good Conduct Medal (7th award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (5th award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd award), NATO Medal, and Combat Action Badge.
CSM Grace and her husband, Terry, have been married for 5 years and they have four children: Brittany (27), Terry Jr. (21), Ricky (19) and Jonathan (14).
